The 16-acre “compound” - which is
just north of Beverly Hills - has 27,000 square feet of living space, six
bathrooms, two kitchens, a tennis court, a sauna, a salon and equestrian
trails. (Not to mention some unique lawn art.)
The house was built originally in the
1970’s for Cher, who eventually sold it to Murphy. At the time, it was a mere 4
acres; owners in the 1990’s purchased the surrounding land and expanded it into
its current state.
Since 1990, Cher has become more
well-known in the real-estate world for several sprawling properties she’s
owned in Malibu. One was nicknamed “Cher Island” by her friend, comedian Kathy
Griffin and put on the market for $41 million in 2013.
Meanwhile, the iconic singer, who
recently celebrated her 70th birthday, has become quite a fixture on Twitter!
